It will switch automatically between a local console that gives you access to the Lua interpreter that runs the IDEĪnd a remote console that allows you to execute code fragments and change variable values in your application when it is stopped in the debugger. The Console window allows you to run Lua code fragments and calculate values of Lua expressions. You will see a prompt in the Output window where the text is expected to be entered. The Output window is also used to enter the text your program may read.

The Output window captures the output of the programs you run, plus any errors and additional messages you may get during execution of those programs. You will see a message in the Output window when the program is stopped. To abort the program from the IDE you can go to Project | Stop Process. The Output window will show the output of the program (if any) and some messages from the IDE that detail what script is being executed and from what directory.

I know how to use Find and Replace, but the feature is simply not working. The IDE allows you to open several programs or files and work on them at the same time.Įach file is opened in its own page, with its name in a tab at the top of the page. You can see in first screenshot that I have selected the same settings, and in the second screenshot, you can see "find" is highlighted in the box, indicating I have pressed "enter", which would normally find all instances of the word I'm trying to find and highlight them, as well as highlighting each found word one-by-one in a different color (usually yellow, for me) as I replace the individual words I would like to replace the found word with. It simply doesn't "find" the word, or highlight it, so I therefore cannot make use of the "replace" feature, either. When I pull up the find box using Command + F, I type the word to find, and the word to replace it with. In fact, I had already selected the same settings as you before I posted my question.

I am saying that the function does not work anymore. I really hoped I had made it clear in my post but I fully understand how Find and Replace works.
